My favorite watercolor painting materials (August 2023)
Nohelia VázquezI try to carry as little as possible. The picture has more or less what I would need to carry if I don't want to finish the drawing at home (sketchbook and drawing board not included).
- Spray Bottle. This one is from Holbein and I bought it a while ago on Amazon
- Tombow MonoZero precision eraser pen with refill
- Vinyl eraser
- Mechanical pencil 0.5 and regular pencil H. The harder the lead of the pencil the fainter the lines will be thus easier to cover with paint or erase
- Brushes. At least a round mope one, and a flat acrylic brush for lifting
- Watercolor palette
- Acrylic pens, mainly a white one. These ones are size 1M
- Calligraphy nib. It comes handy when painting fine lines. This is how I paint fine lines with watercolor paint
- Fountain pen for dark shadows. I make sure to use water proof ink, I use Rohrer & Klingner
- Ruler. This one is Midori
